About the SRC

The University’s Student Representative Council (SRC) held its first formal meeting in December 2011. The SRC is a new model of student representation which aims to rebuild and reinvigorate the student body, especially in regards to matters that students face every day – food prices and parking, childcare and transport, environmental sustainability, teaching quality, study costs, timetable flexibility, access to student services, studying in an atmosphere free from discrimination, affordable accommodation, recreation, clubs, societies and campus life. The aim of the SRC is to identify, advance and promote the interests of all students and the crux of the SRC is in listening to the student voice and acting on it to make sure that voice is heard. The SRC and Student Campus Councils represent an enormously diverse range of students. So if you want to change something on campus or in the broader community, contact the SRC !
